Betting on Myself in 2026: Why I’m All In

🌀 2025 was a plot twist.
A layoff. A health scare. Moments that made me stop—not just breathe—but see.

In the quiet that followed, I realized something profound: what I thought was “security” was never as secure as I believed.

Growing up, I was taught that higher education plus a corporate job equaled safety. That loyalty to a ladder meant upward motion. That if you worked hard enough, the path would reward you.

But here’s the truth few will tell you with kindness:

👉 Today’s market doesn’t play by yesterday’s rules.

We are living in a time where adaptability, authenticity, and purpose are currency. Where the institutional promise of security has loosened, and the opportunity for self-fueled impact has widened.

That realization—equal parts terrifying and exhilarating—shifted something in me.

I’m no stranger to reinvention, but this time feels different. This time feels like alignment.

I have ideas that don’t just light me up, they reflect who I am at my core:

  • creative with intention,

  • strategic with heart,

  • driven by service, not ego.

I’m choosing to bet on myself in 2026—to invest in what I can build, not just what I’ve been taught to pursue.

Here’s a data point that sealed it for me:

📊 Entrepreneurship is growing. According to the Kauffman Foundation, new business creation in the U.S. reached a record high in recent years, with nearly 5 million new business applications filed annually—a sign that more people are choosing to redefine their work and their worth on their own terms.
(And this is before 2026 even arrives.)

That tells me something powerful: I’m not alone, and this isn’t random. It’s a movement.

This isn’t a leap of faith.
It’s a calculated leap into purpose.

And while betting on yourself feels scary—that’s part of what makes it worth it.

To my fellow creators, coaches, consultants, founders, and future founders:

If your next step feels uncertain…
If your safety net looks different than you expected…
If your vision feels bigger than your fear

You are right where you need to be.

Because what happens when you bet on who you are becoming, not just what you’ve always done, is this:

You stop surviving.
You start designing life on your own terms.

And that feels like the most secure kind of freedom there is.
